Waitin on the Weekend

Going to go watch my tennis team win and hopefully advance to the playoffs, might rain though. One of my favorite Green Bay Packers from when I was a kid, Dave Roller, works at a Lowe's in Alpharetta one of my clients told me. Going to go see him tomorrow and get him to sign some Packer yearbook pictures I have of him. Also going to ask him about one time he got kicked out for being too rough with Fran Tarkenton of the Viqueens. I remember him never, nor anyone could, ever really tackle Tarkenton. I hated him. It should be fun.

Well Obama gets his first of probably a few Supreme Court appointments, Souter retirement. I am sure he waited until a democrat got in there. Thats how it works.

I kinda like Michelle Obama. Not sure why. She does have good arms.

Walked Leita again. Watching the Hawks lose and plan on tackling the garage sometime tomorrow, well maybe.

I am back

Ok, its been a couple of days since I have blogged so here it goes.

Glad to see the Hawks win, now they have to go to Miami though. I think they will win. They have a pretty good team. And there has been some Bret Favre talk, as far as him coming back, but can't see it. PFT had a post where the Vikings owner said not interested, and if he went anywhere it would be there. Also, the Vikings top draft pick of Percy will be a downer for them. Too bad.

Turncoat Arlen Specter - what a power grabbing, mealy mouth. Wonder what high committee appointment or special favor he is receiving. And Obama needs to quit whining about what he inherited, that does no good.

As far as the auto companies, go under, bust the union, start over. That is the problem, basically, the union.

We are replacing the temp lady, her last day was today. She just could not handle it. Plus I cannot believe the temp agency even brought her in, this was her first job in several years. They messed up.  Our old person was better. Now we will cycle another one in. Its not that hard of a job, answer the phone, assemble tax returns, deal with my messages, etc. Just needs to be smart, organized and does not get frazzled. This woman had a sticky note that said "Breathe". WTF.

Couple of new clients this week, have been out of the office going to clients offices. Today was at a client for an IRS audit, have not done his work in a few years, he is back, I could say it was Facebook as we have spoken on there, and it probably did have something to do with it, but we have been doing a little bit of work for his wife. Had lunch with Jimmy at Longhorn. Steak for lunch, cannot do that very much. I wanted to make sure he still wanted to work nights, etc and he does, so thats good. He is very valuable as a remote worker.

Walked 2 1/2 miles today, so back on that. Going to go watch some TV and hit the hay. Have been going to bed earlier lately and getting up early. Not a bad thing.

Manic Monday

My blackberry is driving me crazy. I have signed up for lots of Tweets and I think its overloading my phone. Of course Verizon customer service was worthless, I will look it up myself. I think the problem may be the phone is trying to receive messages too frequently. I want the Blackberry Storm I think its called but am told to wait on a new model. I like my Tweets though.

This swine flu is deja vu all over again. I remember it in 1976. Hopefully, much ado about nothing.

I like Peter King and Monday Morning Quarterback on SI. He gets the scoop.

And what is Bret Favre doing? Is he going to end up on TV? I get emails from his website and they stated that now that the Jets got Sanchez, the Brett Favre era is over in New York, we need PackerNation to embrace Bret again. He has done so much for the Packers and Wisconsin. If his Dad would have been alive, none of this would have happened would have happened.

Tom Glavine needs to give it up and our fantasy team needs to get rid of him.

New office admin is  working out great. She is smart, organized and good so far.

Going to organize the basement some and watch some TV. Maybe a movie. Gracie is going down, Christine and I have been talking work and such and Megan is at Diane's again.

Took Lucky on a walk at Leita, 2 1/2 miles. Going to try to keep it up. Am missing tennis practice, playoffs on Saturday and hopefully Sunday, but doubt if I will be playing. We need to go with the best 10 guys.

Rick and Denise's dog, Rollo, was put down today. They had him for a long time and he was in England with them. I know Denise is upset as well as Rick. The damn dog had a rock he would always lick, if you tried to take it from him, he would growl. Reminds me of the pet boulder we had in college. Long story for another time.

What a day

I do like the Packers draft picks, especially the first two. The big boy, BJ Raji, and what a name, will be an awesome player, much like Gilbert Brown and maybe even better. I can hear it now, BBBBBBBBBBJJJJJJJJJJJJ RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAJJJJJJJJIIIIIIIIIII, sacks Jay Cutler. We will stuff the middle when the Viqueens try to run Peterson up the gut and our defense will swarm Cutler. Go Pack. And Clay Matthews, great pedigree, dad and uncle played many years in the NFL, although they gave up a lot to get him, I like that pick as well.

Patrick Leahy can go home - do not investigate the torture stuff. Its a waste of time and Obama does not want to. I am not in love with all Obama is doing or wants to do but it is nice to have a smart president and its not really a bad thing that everyone does not hate us - although we have to be careful.

NL Fantasy team, The Naturals are 4th out of 10 teams. Had a decent week, 6 dingers, 35 rbis, 5 wins and four saves. Prince had a big week as well as Cody Ross and one of our save guys, Cordero. We need Dingers, RBIs, Runs and SB, ok on the pitching categories. On the other hand, Menup of our AL team sucks the bag. In last and we need everything and had a shitty week. Help.

Gracie got a DS game system. She seems to like it. Megs is spending the night at Diane's. Busy day tomorrow. Until then.
