Memorial Day Weekend

Good meet with a client we need to get caught up. Got some things taken care of, he is happy, decent billing. Good last thing before the weekend. Going to be working tomorrow some, new client (came back to me after not getting satisfied with who he went with) and now my biggest client who we just got recently. Husband went to Whitewater, how cool is that. We remember the same watering holes and the like.

Had lunch with a business coach today. Not necessarily for me, but for my clients. But God knows, I could probably use some coaching. Who couldn't.

Saw on Facebook that Greg said he was coming back to Milwaukee, texted him about what was going on and sure enough, job got messed up. Long story. He is on his way back, may stay with us for the summer and get a valet job or something. That would be fun.

Larry King's secret son, whats up with that. And Tony Gonzalez for the Falcons is going to do awesome, he will play another three years probably.

The credit card bill that Obama passed is good, lots of good things in there, things that are just right. Credit card companies are a bit like weasels, kinda like used car salesmen and telemarketers.  And the automakers should bellyup and start over. Bust the stinkin unions. They had their place, its gone.

I am and going to stay Optimistic about the economy, the world, everything. Only way to be.

Memorial Day is Monday. I know Memorial Day is for the soldiers, but as a kid and my family still does this, we mourn our family who have died, get together, eat and play cards. Military notwithstanding.  Going out to Stoney on Saturday with a neighbor/client and headed to a day game at Turner Field on Sunday. Monday not sure.

Holy Cow, Its Wednesday

Random thoughts, I want Tony Romo to be a Green Bay Packer someday, Larry King's new book is out, bet its good. A dog is in the office, how the hell did that happen.

Got Ray Saint's book today, buddy of mine from high school. Its a motivational book. Just started it. He was to sign it, forgot, so is sending me another one. I think I will put the unsigned one in the waiting room. Lots of words of wisdom in there.

Slept like crap last night, but Chinese and ice cream was probably the cause huh. Had lunch with an old friend and colleague. Actually the guy that helped me start NorthPoint Financial. He is doing some life/business advising and coaching. I think I have some clients he can work with and help. I do not have time to do everything.

Something may be going down with payroll! And two new websites, one before the other will be rolling out.

And I wish everyone would quit calling about Georgia refunds. Like we confirmed with the state, they are backlogged in entering returns into the system, thusly behind in issuing refunds. Plus I think its a stahl tactic because of the fact the State is running out of dough. Chill people.

I think Twitter is a great tool. Not only for marketing but in finding information, bouncing ideas off of people, the uses are truly endless. Facebook is cool in the fact you can store pictures and such and share with family and friends, plus I use it as a business tool, but Twitter is the BOMB. Am also messing with LinkedIn more.
Good day today. Got a lot done, made some people happy, knocked out some little things that have been sitting around. Two successes with the IRS. Good day

Monday

Good weekend. Christine got home last night. I was Mr. Mom since Thursday. Organized the basement, work in process though. Gracie was up until Midnight on Saturday, but she had napped for about 3 hours in the late PM, early evening. Cousin Greg stopped on his way to a job in Florida. He is a good kid.

Did not get a lot done at work today, just organizing from last week. Gotta catch up and learn to deal more efficiently with the plethora of crap I have going on each and every day. New renters moved in over the weekend. Have been a little needy thus far, but now that they are online, which we promised, they should be good. Do reverse mortgages, so may be a source of some help for a client in some cases.

Favre may be having surgery. That can only mean one thing. Braves and Brewers are coming on, Brewers more so, although they lost Weeks, not good.

Dealing with the IRS a lot today. Thinking I may make a bigger push on IRS work, doing offers, etc. Could get Don to do the dirty work, which is the paperwork and info gathering.

Done for now
