Ranting - should not be surprised that the NFL gave Brent a lenient penalty. He has never been caught doing things like this before (although there are plenty of Brett Favre stories out there), but, still, because everyone kisses his ass, he got off lighly. I don't care that she did not report this right away, once it was being investigated, it does not matter. If any of you saw Mooch on the NFL Network, and his heart felt plea to Brett to retire and walk off in the sunset, it was good and so true. DONE.
Busy day, met with the in-laws about their finances and that went well. Did not get much else done other than a couple of meetings. One with a payroll service that was actually a waste of time unless they happen to bring me a client somehow. Christine got our largest monthly bookkeeping client yesterday, so that was awesome. And she got her hair done today, and it looks hot. Mama Mia. And Grace did it, stayed all night at Izzy's. Long time coming though. And Megs, well, still trying to get her to come to the office.
Walked again today. Active 2 tomorrow. Also plunged into ordering prepared meals to keep at the office or home. I was looking at it on Christine's computer, she mentioned it this morning, so got the OK, and ordered the first week. Can always stop and then maybe try another. Went with Good Measures because its local, but there are about three or so to choose from. All about the same price. Gonna give it a try. This way I will actually eat breakfast and lunch, since it will be so easy, its calorie controlled and good for you, so should help in dropping the pounds. And I do not think it will really cost me much money because of the money we will be saving on food at home that I would eat, plus eating out which is really a lot.
Have to get up early to finish up a client who is coming in to sign their returns. Other than that, not much, so hopefully I can get a few things done. Poker tomorrow at the clubhouse, Christine is making lasagna. Thanks for that.
A blog where I ocassionaly will express my ideas about life, family, work, world events and whatever else I happen to want to rant or rave about at the time.

Busted Water Main
Stayed up late last night so got up late this morning. Did not have an appointment all day, or so I thought. At 11 a client walked in, I had forgotten about him until he arrived. No big deal. Rest of the day got some work done. Around noon heard from several people about a water line break in the complex, checked it out with the city water guys, they shut off the water to about 6 buildings. Called a plumber from a web search, right next door practically, and he got there this morning and was already digging this PM. He is Jim the Plumber. So that should be fixed in the AM
Lots of appointments at the office tomorrow, want to finish couple of returns though. And still working on my to do list, mostly moving things around and reviewing it. Was at the office until almost 8.
Christine played trivia, Grace is at Izzy's (hopefully for the night) and Megan is here with Gabby her college roommate. I worked out on the PlayStation, and it wore me out.
Thank God we are not traveling. We would all be so crabby. And good job Vikings, you helped the Pack. Looks like Bears and Falcons as top seeds and the Packers go to Philly against Vick.
Lots going on in the world, but nothing that I care to comment on. I know everyone is looking forward to 2011 as for most people 2010 sucked. I ain't complaining.

My knees hurt
Went to work late today, got a few things done but was frustrated with a project. Wasted part of the day. Met with a lady that was referred to me, who may have about 20 to 25 corporate returns and possibly that many personal returns plus who knows, maybe some retirement plans. She is breaking off from her current gig and doing her own thing. That was good. Have to get some billing out, god knows I have the work to do.
Went to workout this morning, walked Leita. I have this program that is GPS for working out and it tracks your distance, time and average speed and then automatically downloads to the web. Pretty cool. Have the same things for Active 2. Ate better today, but not earlier enough or enough calories. Gotta eat breakfast and lunch. And more water.
Man, I thought the Falcons had that game. They should have but they did fuck up and turn the ball over twice when they were about to score. But in the long run, they would not have won 12 games in a row and win the Super Bowl, so good that they lost, will make them more hungry.
Headed to bet. Izzy is over, so that means I sleep downstairs. Ugh.

Beginning of the New Year
Got a bug this morning, and thought I would workout, did 45 minutes on the treadmill. Then bought Active 2 for the Playstation to see if that would keep me motivated and did half a workout on that. Gotta work up to that.
Been using the heck out of Christine's Krueig coffee maker. Must have had 12 cups of coffee since yesterday morning and tea. Did an order online since we get two free boxes.
PACKERS!! Played awesome, should make the playoffs if they can beat the Bears at home. And if they do make the playoffs, they will be very dangerous.

Christmas Eve
Don't be surprised if i double blog tonight. Merry Christmas Eve. Slept badly last night, was up early, went to the office to wait on a UPS package. Actually got a few things done, left in mid afternoon and then went shopping for my last gift. And what a deal, all I can say now.
Christmas Eve always brings back fond memories from when I was a kid, going to Grandpa and Grandma Howell's house, seeing all my Aunts and Uncles and cousins. Playing cards when I was old enough, getting socks every year from my god parents, Uncle Laurence and Aunt Nona, all the cool gifts we got as kids. And then driving home, sometimes in the snow, and eagerly awaiting dawn to see what Santa brought. And Santa did not wrap, so it was a free for all.
Always missing my mom and dad and brother and sisters, aunts and uncles and cousins from up yonder this time of the year. Christmas Eve is always fun with the Schroll's, as is every Holiday event, everyone brings appetizers and then the free for all begins.
Will be spending some time tonight putting things together, a sofa for Grace for her room comes to mind. Merry Christmas.

What was I thinking Thursday
Just got back from taking Gracie to go see Santa. Can you say nightmare. And if you are only "visiting" and not buying their overpriced picture packages, Santa and his elves treat you like shit. Done with you NorthPoint Mall Santa. Then took the girls to Cheesecake Factory, which was awesome.
Met with a new client today, yes a Bears fan, but we will forgive them for that. Merry Christmas everyone and be safe and have fun with all of your family or at least most of them. Selah!

Is it really Wednesday! Seems like Friday!
As VL would say, What in God's name is going on out there. Actually the old man would add the 'What in God's name" part.
Office luncheon today. Awesome, had loads of fun. Got a little work done before and believe it or not after, although after was after 3 beers. Dipped into a little lemoncello, for those who know what that is. And visited the friendly Waffle House and pulled a Bill Murray. I love Christmas but still can't wait until the New Year when things become normal again.
Finished the XMAS shopping, kids are getting too much once again. What are you going to do on that. Its all right in the world when Gracie, all seven years of her, looks right at me and says, "Dad, you think Santa will remember what I asked for this year? I say maybe and she lightens up and says, I think so, and I say, if you have been very good, he of course will remember you, and she looks right at me and says, Dad, of course I have been good, have you not been watching? Too funny.
Riled up about all the people complaining about dont ask, dont tell. Who cares, let people be what they want. And O, good job passing the First Responders Bill, who could be opposed to that. And Rex Ryan, foot fetish? WTF! And O, good job coming to the center, you learned something from Bill, I see.

30 days and it becomes a habit
Just got home from playing poker and thought I would keep my blogging up. Gotta get to the magic 30 days. Did not fare too well at cards, but had fun. Have not played with these guys for several months, got a XMAS present from the host, a all in one tool thingy, and a bottle of Lemoncello, which is some good stuff. Will have to check that out Christmas Eve if not before.
Work was uneventful, couple of client meetings, but so much to do before tax season gets here. And some decisions to make. Did have a client "come back to the fold" earlier today, so thats always good. Most times things are not greener on the other side. Have to finalize the logos, tweak the website, get tax organizers out as well as census requests, and thats not even counting real billable work.
F___ Favre for telling Peppers of the Bears to go beat the Packers. Glad you got knocked on his ass again on Monday night. Has he no loyalty, what a dick. I so want to like him again, and he makes it so difficult. I really want the Packers to beat the Giants at home on Sunday and if they do, and it will be tough after last weeks debacle by the Giants, I know they will beat the Bears the last game of the season. Then Wildcard baby, and you never know what might happen. Will be rooting for the Falcons and if they meet the Eagles, hope they beat Vick. But an Eagles-Patriots Super Bowl would be very exciting.

What the Hell is going on out there?
Ok, second day in a row. Dont expect it to continue people. Decent day today. Was down at the State of Georgia Department of Revenue which only makes me realize why I am so glad I got out of government. OMG. Did end of dealing with some helpful people, but can you say LAZY, only do what I have to do people; yes you can. But I got what I wanted, although not the end result I had wished for.
Two good client meetings this morning, ramping up for tax season. Going to be a good one, I can feel it. This will be #24 or so. Althought had a little glitch in things Sunday night with NPF, but it will all work out. Always has.
Love my wife, so glad she is helping at the office. Need her. Little Gracie is a pistol as is her alter ego, Izzy. We need to reel her in. Megan, well, she is 18 and has a lot to learn. Had her working at the office, helping out, and have not seen her since. She is a good kid, and will figure it out, someday.
Packers played so well yesterday, should have won. Worried about the Giants game though since they lost, and should not have. But Bears get beat by Favre tonight, and the Pack beat the Bears, last game of the season, and playoffs here we come, but on the road, but for me, maybe in Hotlanta and I will be there.
Politics - tax bill that O signed has lots of good things, for those people who are pissed about unemployment being extended, FU, small price to pay. Lots of decent things in there, but O had nothing to do with it, he just signed it.

Bloody Sunday
Ok, back on the blog for now, why, not sure. Maybe because I have my desktop working with a wireless connector now in the basement. Watching the Packers game, don't expect much, good start, but going south real quick. I am hopeful
Woke up this morning and put the Christmas decorations out, what we have anyway. We must have thrown some things away. While cleaning up the basement, cut my finger. Bled a lot, and did all day. Christine played nursemaid (and very well), so I think its under control now. Dont think I need stitches but we will see.
Have a lot to do at work and before end of the year, we will see how that goes. Also have to start the weekly review for my GTD, going well but need to tighten it up.
Thats it for now. See ya

Its that time of the year
Gotta love the damn Muslims backing down on the mosque near ground zero. Yes, our constitution promises freedom of religion, but that does not mean you can build anything you want anyplace you want. I cannot build my house next to Lambeau field. Cant happen. Anyway, Obama fucked up from day one and then backtracked. He really has no backbone
Megs is doing awesome at school. Does not miss home, loves being there. And I love that. Now just do well in school. She will do great.
Football. Finally. Pack played Saturday, lost to the lowly Browns, but who cares really. Rodgers did awesome, both lines need to come around. They will be in the Soup Bowl. You heard it here first
Work going well. New client today. Lots to do before September 15 though.
Thats it for now. Want to keep posting

Another Hot Thursday
Well we dropped Megan off at Valdosta on Monday. She seems to be doing great, classes start on Monday. She is rushing this week, but is not too keen on it because of all the rules. We will see. I was very excited for her, harkens me back when I went to Whitewater. A lot diffferent for her (better) but very similiar. I know she will blossom. Stay tuned.
Grace started 2nd grade, although she says she does not like school, she secretly does once she gets there. She is a hoot and a very smart girl. Maybe she will take over the firm someday.
Gonna start working out this weekend, you heard it here first. I know, I have said that before. Need to.
Work going good, ahead of the curve it seems. Getting things done (GTD). Leah did give her resignation last week, so that does put a chink in the armor. We can do without for a few months, but would like to get someone with a little experience and desire or just someone with desire. We can train.

What the Heck?
Ok, day started out getting up and out the door by seven or so. Have been getting up early lately but not sleeping well. Had to work on letter for client going to a mediation in the morning, dealing with him sore more tomorrow for his version of a profit and loss for his business, which of course is different from reality.
Then out the door to see Bryan, had sushi and caught up. He told me his two year old daughter almost drowned - his sister took the kids life jacket off and was not watching and his bro in law would not jump in the pool. Geesh. Meeting went well, glad that return is out.
Drove back and stopped at Horseshoe Bend to pickup some tax and payroll returns for the IRS. On the way back got a text about another IRS issue being worked out and a refund being issued for someone who could use it. Then two soon-to-be divorced clients came to the office, had to change address, change bank account, came i separately. Good thing I was not there, good ole Linda dealt with it. She does a good job.
The big news though is Kaki. She was admitted into ICU this morning, some viral thing, had pneumonia, kidneys were only 1/3 working. Sarah is coming home. I think Kaki will be fine, but scary stuff. I guess we will know more tomorrow.
Rearranged the theatre room, put the love seat back on it, mainly so I could lay on something. That's it. Need to start working out, using SNAP, keep this blog up. Tomorrow or next post, GTD!

Non-Proft Monday
Busy day today, got all of the non profits done. Also had lunch with the Colonel and Kirt. The Colonel is quite the guy, to the right of right, but a true American Hero
Did some more Club work. Hopefully that will normalize out now that its all set up now. Finalized the new client that I got Friday, call center and a helicopter air service. I am going to get a tour on that helicopter someday.
Cannot believe a Muslim Arab-American was voted Miss America. Its all a PC thing. She may have deserved it but cmon.
And this oil spill, methinks its not as bad as the media is portraying it. Althought am pissed that condo renters our backing out. We are going to file a claim against the evil BP.
Christine and I had meeting this morning with Gracie's language teacher. Gracie is smart as a whip, thinks things thru for kids far older than her, still a little shy, but so was I.
Megs is gone in Florida. Her graduation and party is Saturday. Cannot believe she is going to graduate, just seems like yesterday we were jumping the waves in Cancun. She is going to love college, and I think blossom, although it will be an adjustment. But she is preparted.
Our long time renters left after 10 years, Christine went to the house today to show it to someone I know (she saw my facebook status about our renters leaving and us having a house for rent). Hopefully we will get a renter in their soon.
Thats it for now, will try to come back more often.

Its been a while!
I am back on the blog, we will see for how long.
Mothers Day was nice, went to the same park we went to last year and cooked burgers, brats and dogs. Played softball, am sore now and Christine took a header and will be real sore. Megan played pretty well at first base as well.
Came home, took a nap and then went to the office for a couple of hours. Got three returns done and came home.
Hawks suck, Braves will get better, not much else going on.
