Packers and Bears on Sunday, what an epic game it will be. Would love to go, but maybe the Super Bowl if all things work out. We will see. Going to the game at the Dome and the pep rally the night before was awesome. Packer fans everywhere. Met and talked to for about 20 minutes, Majic Man, Don Majkowski, Packer QB before Favre. Regular guy with a son Grace's age and a daughter in 8th grade, wife is from Wisconsin, they met there. And the game, well, again, lots of Packer fans and fun to be all around that.
Snowstorm since I was last on here, and this is my take on that. It is totally ridiculous that a plan was not had just in case this happened as far as ice and snow removal. It could have been borrowed from somewhere, the whole country was not under snow, and if it could not be done, then fine. At least there was a plan. But it is bullshit to expect municipalites to have snow and ice removal equipment or at least a lot of it. What a waste of resources. And to complain about private parking lots and subdivison roads is pure crap as well. Of course people went nuts, said and did things they would not normally do since they were in lockdown and with the kids being out of school for a whole week and then MLK day, well thats enough to drive a parent crazy.
Work going well. Busy which is good. A few new clients already, a few 1040s already which is kinda early and lots of corporates which is good. We have to master this software though.
Keith Olberman is off MSNBC, good riddance. What an ass. When he was first on Sportscenter he was a funny smart ass sports guy. Then his true liberal cocky self came out and it pained me to watch him, although I did at times just to see what the other side was saying.
Packers beat the lowly Bears by more than 3 and less than seven. It will turn out to be a high scoring game for these good defenses, but in the mid 40s. On to the Super Bowl. That would be so awesome. And Obama, stay away from the Super Bowl. Too much of a distraction.
Oh yeah, have lost 20 lbs eating these prepared meals and doing Active 2. Some of these meals are good, some not so much. But I am eating them for the most part. Just eating Breafast and Lunch, drinking water is doing a lot.
A blog where I ocassionaly will express my ideas about life, family, work, world events and whatever else I happen to want to rant or rave about at the time.

Award Day
Its almost midnight, am working in my basement office and watching NFL network. Was up again until three last night so again, got up kinda early to see Grace's awards ceremony. She got Speller of the Markin Period, like her Dad a good speller (4th Grade Spelling Bee Champion). She did good when she went up on stage, did not look at us but did not look down, we were very proud of her. Megs is getting ready to go back to school, she came by the office to take some more boxes to our storage unit and she told me her and her roommate got Freshman 101 for the 2nd Semester which is good, she needs the easy A or B.
Had lunch today with a referral source. P&C guy. He is well connected and glad we hooked up. Even game me a couple of good leads today. Met him when I was at one of my clients office. Had another client who came in who got tickets for the Auburn-Oregon game for XMAS for his wife and paid a pretty penny. Well all these ticket brokers are finding out they can get more than they got a while back and are backing out of deals. All over the place. He may not get to go to the game at all unless he forks up some more dough. Getting Screwed
Interviewed a young lady today to man the front and take some load off of Linda. My second assistant if you will. Has some light bookkeeping experience, so we will see how it goes. Hopefully at least through tax season.
Drove down to Buckhead today and met with an existing client I have had for awhile, but he is involved in two new entities, so 2 new clients with many, many K-1s which they are wanting way before March 15th. OY VEY.
My lunch sucked today, Eggplant, yuk. Dinner not bad, but so far not so sure about this food other than its healthy.

Hump Day
Happy Hump Day!
Was up til 3 am last night so got up late, worked from home and went in for an appointment at 2. Actually got a lot of things done this morning, phone calls, emails, etc.
Had my full day of meals today, not a bad breakfast, decent lunch, crappy dinner. Hate Brussell Sprouts. Worked out on the PlayStation again. That is still kicking my ass right now.
Signed up for T2 Tennis, going to play with Robert for the first time. See how it goes, we are playing low so should win. I need some wins. Season starts soon.
Congress changed over today. Good riddance Pelosi. Lets see how the Republicans do and then will Obama move more to the center. We will see.
Getting my office organized in the basement. So far so good. Interviewing a girl tomorrow to man the front office and help me out. Going to give her a shot, an accounting graduate (two year school) as well, so maybe she can help out with Quickbooks and such. Maybe even do a few tax returns. That means Linda is 3/4 NPF now. Hopefully I can count on Leah to get through testing, but if not, have two others in the wings on a contract basis that both know ASC. Will only use them if I have to.
Vince Young of the Titans got cut. Good riddance. Bad seed. And Congratulations to Bert Blyleven and Roberto Alomar for selection to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Blyleven was a long time coming. And the steroid users, I am not sure if they will ever get in.

Gonna be a rough night (was a rough morning)
Having my procedure tomorrow morning (had this morning), colonoscopy. Thought I had to start drinking that stuff that cleans you out this morning, but not until tonight. I guess it keeps you up all night. And boy did it taste nasty. I am to be on a liquid diet today and tomorrow (no alcohol), so I am not eating anything, drinking tea and broth. Megs is going to go get me jello and popsicles for later. (Ate a whole box of fudgecicles, creamsicles, and popsicles) This damn thing is costing me $1500, would not have dont it yet if I knew that. Never thought to ask, but my deductible is so damn high. But still. Obamacare where are you? LOL. But with what Rick has gone thru and such, gotta check it out.
Stayed home today because I at first thought I was gonna be incapacitated all day, but have just been returning emails, etc. Ordered the CD mailers for the returns (new thing).
Packers in the playoffs, which is awesome. Bring on the Eagles, we will crush Vic, he will wilt. Falcons could be one and done.
Everything went fine today, nothing wrong. Getting put under was a new experience, one minute I am talking to the nurse about my energy bracelet, next thing I know there is Christine. I felt fine, but I guess I was loopy. Had major jimmy legs.
Been messing with a blog, creating a new blog (more of a work one). Sent out some test emails from the website, experimenting, so not all went as planned. But pretty cool. Blogged from there.
Started my meals today, out of order since I could not eat until 4 or so. Pretty good, although not a salmon fan or an onion or kidney bean fan, but I muscled it down. Back to work and working out tomorrow.
Redid organizers yesterday as first batch did not have prior year info. Going to email them to save postage, or at least most of them. Got a new phone system the other day, barter, and it integrates with Outlook. Pretty cool. Also ordered our CD holders for client info and returns.
Found out within the past few days that the IRS cannot accept returns with itemized deductions until late February. Which affects all of our returns, but should have no affect on us as most are completed after that date, we can still do them.
Over and out.

C'mon Man
Went to bed early, took my rope a dope medicine so no jimmys. We both did make midnight as did Gracie. Woke up at 2 to Christine on the phone. And it was not Megs.
Relaxed all day. Megs got home late this afternoon. Was going to go to Mark and Kim's and see Don and probably Kelly, but just did not feel like driving that far, so just had a few drinks down the street and watched the first half of the Rose Bowl. Staying away from beer.
Wisconsin has got to wake up. Maybe they will wear TCU down, but not good so far. They are not dominating like I thought, if it was a close game, I predicted that they would lose. C'mon Sconi.
Big Packers game tomorrow, late game. Falcons early which is good, two games for the last Sunday. Going to miss football, although with the NFL Network it never goes away.
Here is hoping the Badgers pull it out, Happy New Year
